General Comments
All the cats did come out of their cages at some point, if only for a little bit. The two youngsters are quite playful and will hang around in the vicinity of the door. The older two are both hiding in the bottoms of their cages, but they didn't stay solely there.

I lured Muffie out from her hiding spot to eat wet food before the kittens were out, and then I put dry food and water near her temporarily, both of which she eagerly consumed. I think she may be easier to coax out to play if the kittens are in their cage.

Maltsby left the cage for a little bit while the kittens were out, but I think their rambunctiousness was a bit overwhelming for the big, quiet guy, and he soon retreated to a corner of the bottom of his cage. He ate only a few licks of wet food and wasn't interested in dry tonight.

Playful kitties, indeed. They were out for most of my shift, and they played both separately and together, and they tried to get the older cats interested, too, or at least tried to see what the older cats were doing. They seem to be messy eaters of dry food; I had to dump and refill both water bowls because of food bits in them. Catawba is probably a tad friendlier but is easily distracted and off to play some more; Scarlet is friendly as well, but was less liable to come up beside me. I don't think either one will spend too long before getting adopted.
