Trenton Cats Rescue is a 100% volunteer-operated, non-profit charity organization. Our cats are fostered in volunteer’s homes or housed in retail adoption locations until they are adopted. We are not government-funded and do not have a physical shelter location. If you’re interested in meeting our cats, please complete an adoption questionnaire and one of our volunteers will get back to you in 48 – 72 hours.

If you are trying to help a scared, unfriendly, or friendly outside cat, please read this article and our TNR page. While we can sometimes find volunteers to help you, we have a very long waiting list so the more you can participate, the quicker the cat (and you) will be helped.
Trenton Cats Rescue is entirely foster-based. We don't have a shelter or facility to accept owner surrenders. If you must relinquish your own pet for adoption, please visit rehome.adoptapet.com.

Trenton Cats Rescue is entirely volunteer-run and most of us have full-time jobs so it may take us a few days to get back to you. If you have an urgent situation, please contact your local animal control or police department. Thank you.
